Done the deal today. Traded in 09 GSA for aniversary GSA and collect it on saturday. 
It was news to me that the drive shaft on the latest models is vented ie. different from the 09 and hence the carbon hugger won't fit.
BMW mechanic said [off the record] they had to do something as so many driveshafts/bearings were failing. They have gone back to venting them as they did a few years back.
