My mate has a 2013 TE.....I was just wondering whether to advise him to do the lottery due to the unbelievable luck he has had.

His TE has not had....

- any dodgy switch gear
- wind screen pins falling out
- oil leaks from the gearbox
- cluncky gear change
- fecked fuel cap
- corrosion (and yes he does ride through the winter)
- pealing cylinder head paint
- anything else go wrong

...he can even find neutral (when the engine is warm) AND to cap it all, his early delivery bike came with all the extra bits AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!

Clearly the man is abnormally blessed and should therefore is a dead cert to win this Saturday....you have been told.

He's not the only one mine is sweet! !

And mine too , well a wee bit clunky going into first just like my 1150 was !

...Which is in complete contrast to my first brand new bike ever...a 2013 GSA TC, 4500 miles and the right hand fork seal popped out. Having rung the service department at my local dealer, they suggested I pop the seal back in ALL BY MYSELF. Needless to say I have written to BMW berating this appalling customer service and naturally rejecting the bike....still waiting a response.

At the risk of tempting fate...mine too has been awesome AND does exactly what it says on the tin.... I was thinking perhaps if I had read all these posts before buying mine (1200 LC TE), I could well be on a KTM or a TRIUMPH instead (and a bit richer!!)

I really sympathise with those who are having issues especially, as initially, my brand awareness of BMW was of "expensive perfection and attention to detail." That has changed, I will admit.

For example I still think it is amazing that on a £15 k motorcycle I have to buy an extra bit of £134 plastic to keep my trousers clean in the wet... Now that is frankly, ridiculous!

I shall continue to thrash the ... off mine in all weathers and await developments so to speak.........

Update - apparently I need to add dodgy water pump to the things that haven't gone wrong as well! So, a long list of stuff that hasn't gone wrong....he is starting to wonder if his bike was some sort of freak....thankfully this thread has affirmed that at least 2 other bikes exist with the same lack of issues....amazing.
