Over the years Ive used this forum and the collective wisdom of the gentlemen of the UKGSER to advise where to go on my annual trip to warmer climes in Europe. Consequently Ive been to Aups, Embrum, Verdun Gorge, Gorge du Tarn and lots of other places. Twife calls them F***kinell moments (shes a brummie). You ride round a bend and think F***inell.

If you could pick three places in Europe you JUST CANNOT MISS, a bucket list if you like, where would you advise someone to go.

To start us off I would choose any motocamp, perhaps Crest, The cascades on the river cese (near Bagnols) and Embrum.

Have a good Summer

Go from Granada to the coast south on the A-44 / E-902, Down to Motril. Now that's a nice road. Always try to ride it every time I go to Spain. The better way is from Granada south. Rather than the other way. Smooth road, wonderful views, you wont be disappointed.

The best road in Spain for a well-ridden GS - and I will accept no arguments on this - is the minor road from Flix to La Bisbal de Falset in Catalunya. Different maps give it different names and numbers - when I did it it was called the TV something or other. Google Maps now calles it the T-703.

It has been used as a stage on the WRC and is just a perfect combination of hills and twists.

In reality, there are brilliant little roads all over Catalunya, often recently surfaced (i.e. within the last 10 years ) with EU money. Go and get your money's worth. Everyone will have their favourite but that will depend on the riders' particular mood on the day they rode them.

- Mangart road in Slovenia, combined with the Vrsic pass.
- The road from St. Andre-les-Alpes, through Castelanne, and following the Gorge du Verdon, all the way to Moustiers Ste. Marie.
- Passo Croce Domini, at the restaurant take the Giogo dell Balo towards Passo di Maniva, and continue towards Lago d'Idro.

Three things are actually to few, got another dozen lined up :D

Grtz, Philip!
