Hello. I would appreciate some help as to how I can download the locations of Motorrad dealers in Norway onto my Zumo 220, please. Thank you.

I've got a 220 but haven't installed extra POIs on it yet. If it works in the same way as the other Zumos then you need to download Garmin's POI Loader program onto your PC. Run POI Loader, follow the prompts and it will load the POIs onto your Zumo.

Bear in mind that POI Loader loads one POI set, and if you subsequently load another set of POIs, these will overwrite the first set. So if you want to incrementally add POIs to the Zumo, you need to add the new POIs to a set on your PC that already contains existing POIs. In other words, if you load your Norwegian dealers as POIs, and then decide to load up a set of POIs for speed cameras in Norway, then both sets of POIs will need to be loaded in one hit.

Adapted from something I wrote earlier...

If your GPS allows it (e.g. Zumo 550), you can set up a custom set of POIs (points of interests). This is far preferable as POIs aren't mixed in with your own waypoints and don't eat into the waypoint limit of your GPS unit. The process is explained below.

- Download and install the Garmin POI Loader.
- Create a folder that will be used for POI files
- Download the .gpx file for Motorrad dealers to your new POI folder
- run POI Loader to move these to your Zumo or other device

When you are on the road you can now look for dealers by
- where to > extras > custom POIs

To expand on what Tomcat mentions, when you run POI Loader software it will take ALL .gpx entries in the directory and load each of them as a separate set of POIs.
