DrAlf’s Spirited Road Ride

I do hope we don't get the same amount of moaning and whinging as last year.:rob

Why were people moaning? Was the ride 'too spirited' for them.....:green gri

Dodgy overtakes, I heard....................mid group, by people whose riding skills weren't as good as they thought in their minds or professed they were:blast

Ash and myself had my own ride around the Cotswolds.....................it was grand:thumb

:clap

That's the long and short of it JB. I hope none of the brilliant riders don't round a corner, swerve to avoid some cyclist and end up under a lorry.
Hopefully whoever it all goes wrong for, doesn't hurt anyone else and isn't too badly hurt themselves. Have fun :thumb

Sounds like a great day, I'll be living back in the Cotswolds by next year so will look forward to watching out for dates :-)

Well there certainly appears to be a good bunch of 'spirited participants' up for the ride........no whingers.............yet :green gri

Sorry Chris, my comment was intended for Kieth who was tec on Adam's last little jaunt, but seemingly not coming on this one.

Charming!!!!! I didn't whinge on the Whales trip; I simply decided that the TEC role wasn't for me, and would be better suited to a n other; it just so happens that the a n other was YOU :D

Test rode the route on Saturday - albeit with Miss Alf on the back so not quite spirited:augie Looking forward to this a lot. There are some brilliant biking roads:thumby:

I've got options to reduce or extend the route depending on numbers/weather but please aim to start the ride with at least 160 miles worth of fuel if possible. There's a small petrol station opposite the pub if required.

Please also note that some of the break points do not have amenities/refreshments so it would make sense to bring along some water and mars bars etc. I'll have the big blue top box fitted so happy to carry stuff if required.

Early forecast is looking good:thumby: It's going to be a cracking weekend:thumby:

I only have a small tank range of 120 miles max, so can you fit in a fuel stop during the day too? If not, no problem, I'll peel off and make my own way back.
