Ladies & Gents,
The wife has just started up on her own doing dressmaking etc.

She is currently doing a few Prom dresses ready for end of term events, so if any of your daughters are on the lookout, give her a shout!

Just to give you an example, a friends daughter recently priced a Prom dress in town for £289, the wife's made it for £95!

She also does Bridesmaids dresses and curtains etc.

In South Derbyshire but she will meet/travel if need be to get measurements/fitting etc.
 
Oh FFS! If this was a month or two earlier we'd have bitten yer arm off! As it is we're just waiting for a package to arrive from China... If it doesn't turn up by the end of the week I'll give you a call.
 
Does your wife have a portfolio of her work?

I note she makes bridesmaid dresses....does she make wedding dresses too?...:)

It turned up. Its crap and doesn't fit = stress levels have reached stratospheric heights.

A quick pm, a phone call this morning and it looks like Jacky is going to save the day :)





Women and dresses. Why is that such a stressfull combination for everyone involved?

Dresses

Ladies/Gents,
Three dresses currently made with another two imminent.
They have been made size 10/12, although it can be made smaller. Zips and hems not completed so dresses can be altered to fit individual when orders taken.
These are £85 (Aqua) and £115 (Burgundy & White).
Other two colours in progress are Grey and Plumb.
Of course, alternate colours, sizes and designs can be made.
(Please note that dresses may not 'hang' properly in pictures due to incompletion at this stage)

The young lady had seen a similar style in town for £289

She has some more on the go at the mo' if you would like to treat your wife's/partners/girlfriends or even someone elses wife/partner/girlfriend!!

Update

Well she's done it....given up her full time job to give this a good go!

Would really appreciate any business/recomendations.

General sewing & alterations, curtains, dressmaking & prom dresses.

She really wants to build up the wedding side of the business and is making bridemaids and wedding dresses. In addition she offers a wedding dress hire service and has a selection of styles/sizes.

She currently has a website under construction so I will update you on that accordingly.

Another Update...

Jacky is planning to make a set of luggage bags for Aluminium & Vario boxes

She is currently sourcing materials so will keep you posted

Be good to hear if there's any interest, although I can't give an indication on cost yet as its dependant on material cost

Oh....and bugger off I'm first in the queue! lol
