drive from london to

Hi,
Planning to drive for three weeks in august with the family (11 and 13 year old boys) to france, spain, Portugal.
do not have any accommodation reservations and planning to use a tent in campsites.
Would like to visit a few places such as water parks in spain and Portugal...
1- can I rely on the google map to find campsites and attractions nearby as we are driving?
2- do I need to make any campsite reservations to setup tent?
3- Any driving paper work required in Europe?
4- possibly visiting other countries on the way back
5- this is going the first time to do this as we are NOT experienced in campsites, tents, etc. what do you suggest to prepare, etc.
6- any thing else you can let me know is appreciated.

If it was me I'd take all paper work for car log book ,ins,mot,etc ,licences ,passports,

Take a look at Archie's campsite s you can set it up as an app on your phone thousands of campsites but don't leave it until 8 pm to start looking for somewhere .
Get on the road early and then start looking for a site about 3 ish then you will have a bit of time to relax .
As long as you have smallish tent most places will fit you in .
Don't know much about water parks except I took my clan to one just outside Malaga
Once and it was a 100 euros for entry.
