i thought the latest software fixed this issue, but my 14S has just been serviced. they assured me that i would get the latest software update, but my drive mode is still defaulting too street after being turned off :(

anyone know what is the score with this?

Might not be the same thing but I remember people going on about the upgrade not working properly or being difficult to flash. Seems to take dealers a couple of goes. Look over on the darkside for something like what software are you on or something like that.

I did post over there, but I'm wondering if there's different versions for EU and USA?

I have to visit the dealer soon to pick up my SA screen so I'll grill them then. I think they'll have to check with KTM though.

Mine used to do this, but after the ECU update, the mode remains as set when switching on again.

i've forgotten the button sequence to find the software version. IIRC it does seem that inmates at ADVrider are showing the same version, but with different features.

welcome to KTM :D

switch on, press and hold up and down buttons, and it cycles to Service which shows the software version.

2.20 which i think is what it always has had :blast

just spoke to the dealer, and they say it's had all updates + some muttering about reading stuff on forums from the techy bloke.

...but they do seem to know about the issue, or at least have had several customers raise it with them.

At least they know there is an issue.

they have an issue with their KTM computer as well. they just phoned me to say they are unable to investigate further as their machine has been crashing all day.

I was annoyed last year when after a service and software update, mine defaulted to Street every time I switched if off/on. It's last update sorted this out, so back to where I had left it when turned off. Sounds like you have a tetchy dealer too..:rob
