Anyone know of a RELIABLE driving instructor in Leeds?

My daughter is a student over there, and need to learn to drive.....

She did book one lesson with the BSM....Just to try them out, but they didn't even turn up and are hanging on to her money....:eek :eek :eek

Any pointers please.....:)

There's summat wrong if they didn't turn up.
They can't hang on to the money if they didn't turn up. Probably crossed lines of good intentions.
Mebbe the address given to the instructor was wrong and/or a digit wrong in mobile number. The contact centre occasionally go a bit loopy...

I have worked with them for 6 years. Speak to someone to sort the problem.
- Send her up to St.Andrews!

Update....My daughter rang BSM to ask what had happened, and a girl said that she would get someone from the 'Internet Team' to ring my daughter back to explain. Two days later, no one had rung back. My daughter rings again to be told that she would get her money back within 28 days.

All that I can say is, that I'm REALLY glad that I didn't book a course of lessons with them....and I very nearly did...;)

Mistakes happen, and I can live with that, but it's how you 'turn it around' that matters.....and BSM were a bag of spanners....:thumb

There's some good instructors with BSM, I started out with them and many of the guys I worked with were really good. Coulda been a genuine booking mistake.

But...there were also a lot of what are known as Part 3 Trainees giving tuition. These are partially qualified and are teaching to give them experience. Many were good and dedicated, unfortunately there were those who didn't stand a snowballs of qualifying and were unreliable to the extreme. In my experience, if anyone wasn't going to turn up it'd be one of them.

Bloody crap PR. If I cock up, I give a lesson FOC as an apology.

My daughter passed her test this year....

..and if your daughter is anywhere near Harrogate/Wetherby, I can recommend the instructor we used.

We started with one independent but progress was slow so changed to the second chap who really got things moving
He charged £22 per hour (2 quid more) but it was value for money and has got several of the kids around here through the test.
Let me know if you need details.:type

Klanky and Popell....Thanks for the info'....:thumb2

Harrogate/Wetherby is a touch too far out, but thanks anyway. We have a really good instructor over here in Scarborough, but she wants to learn in Leeds.....
