Got my date yesterday for my driving test 8-12-09.

Came around much quicker then I thought it would.

Booked in with the rider training centre for a 3 hr instructional and pre test for this tuesday.

Fingers crossed all goes well. Not back on the bike that long.

Culchie day in Dublin, god luv ye.

But should be no different to normal cause they are all living up here already.:D

Just as a matter of interest....who is your instructor/training school?

Ask the instructor for his ADI permit.
If he can't show you an RSA ADI permit with his photo on it....He is not qualified and is braking the law.
It also means you are wasting your money
It must have his name and photo

Oh and if he doesn't have one then you should report him to either the Gardai or the RSA

Guards and Forty Bellies Dolan have been all over Finglas this week Blue lighting people on lessons and checking instructor permits.

My 2 cents.
On the day do your best to 'play your own game'. Basically ride in the way you planned to for the test, try not to let the fact that there's a tester behind you affect you too much. Also, if you make a mistake, put it out of your mind and get on with it.
When you get back to the test centre, don't assume it's over when you drive in the gates again, park carefully and get off the bike in the prescribed manner. :blast

I left the guy behind twice and stalled it once, and still passed. :thumb

Best of luck!

Thanks very much lads. Fingers crossed.

I had a good chat with Ogmios yesterday. So thanks for that Marc.

The lad that is instructing me is an RSA ADI permit holder so thanks for your concern electric_monk.

I'll let you all know how I get on with the instruction on Tuesday and the test the following week. Thanks again. :thumb
