The thread hijack continues... (apologies)

Don't mean to steal this thread but realized I had posted an old picture of my project 1976 900SS so wanted to update it. Dead proud of the seat modification, it's a Mead Speed solo but they use modern plastic zippers so removed a YKK #10 brass zipper from a Barbour coat and had that sewen in also shortened the seat base by 1-1/4" for the Imola tank

That's an excellent mod. And reassuring info. for me as it confirms why an Imola tank won't fit on my single seater - was beginning to suspect either the tank was a poor copy or, more likely, I'd need a shorter seat. Now all I need is a Barbour...

I have a very silly little problem with a brake pedal return spring.
