Jesus Christ! I didn’t think a toaster could cost that much new. Just googled the price!

I’ve got the 4 slice push up model that cost an absolute fortune and doesn’t toast the bread any better than a £10 model from Asda. But it looks the business, hence why I bought it. Same holds true of expensive watches. You buy them because they look and make you feel good. Glad it’s sold and generated such a substantial thread!

Just looked at my one new... £220 now ! But I've had mine for maybe 20 years... and it still works perfectly... defo a sound purchase.
 
Bought one a few years ago from FB market place for 10 quid, 4 slice, had it rebuilt by Dualit 2 years ago.
had a note with it on its return .. "This is a good one - keep it" its a 1997 vintage .
