Hi

I'm heading to the SW of Ireland next week.

I've got plenty of places to visit when I get there. The only thing I need to finalise is an interesting route from Dublin to Cork (or thereabouts).

The Wicklow Mountains are on the list but I'm struggling to find other points of interest so some suggestions would be welcome.

Even better would be a route if you have one you'd be willing to share.

Many thanks

Sean

Dublin Port to the Wicklow Mountains and Laragh. On then via Carlow, Clonmel and from there to The Vee Pass (good photo op) then into Lismore with its fine castle before dropping down to the Jameson Distillery in Middleton and on into Cork city. About 330kms all in.
I'm in work but I'll see if I can get a chance to put a route together for you.

I threw a bit of a route together in my lunch break. Hopefully it will give you something to work with. Fingers crossed it will download and open from this attachment.

That worked a treat, thanks Aidan.

When I loaded it into Calimoto it went a bit weird, but is fine in MRA so all's good.

What he said....^^^^^

If you have time try to take in the Copper Coast between Tramore and Dungarvan, then head to Lismore and the Vee as suggested.

If not, you can't go wrong with the suggested route though.
