The Chinese remain good at copying and, unsurprisingly, being very cheap on the forecourt. But they haven’t yet proved themselves as ‘disrupters’ - earthquake, is a better word - in the sense that the Japanese were when they delivered the Honda 750-4, a bike which overnight finished the UK motorbike industry. Nor have they unleashed anything as ‘new’ or ‘game changing’ as the FireBlade was.
Hopefully, they (or someone else) will do something truly interesting with electric motorcycles, perhaps? Until then, it’s the same stuff (irrespective of source or manufacturer) regurgitated.

Take the TFTs on offer .
The BMW has the same old TFT that’s been on most of their bikes for about a decade.
The CF Moto has a large touchscreen TFT that’s includes CarPlay and Google maps etc.Im pretty sure they’re the first ones to introduce that to the market .
I agree. There have been a few massive jumps in the motorcycle industry. The Honda CB 750 moved the game on in one huge jump. The Chinese are not doing anything spectacular copying and getting some kudos by being associated with BMW or KTM. of course their doing it cheaper in some cases better warranty’s. A touch screen TFT, with connectivity and CarPlay…. That’ll kill the Chiggy revolution.
