Any suggestions for accomodation ?

Was up there the other week on our mini tour. Have to say was really disappointed. Hard pushed to find somewhere nice to go for a bite to eat. The grub in our hotel was good though and not overly expensive. We stayed in the Apex.

Apex is a very nice hotel, should get a decent price for a friday night. There is a good italian on the quay just next to the apex hotel, then some really good pubs in town 5 mins walk

The wee Italian at the quay was nice. Unfortunately it has closed.

although if you do go south into fife there's loads o' gypo campsites
