Anyone used Dunlop Road Smart 3 GTs on their GS ? What do you think of them ?

Me - though I'm not sure about the GT bit.
Very good grip and confidence inspiring, though I don't do many wet miles.
I had my Aanakees taken of at PDI and the Dunlops fitted - so far so good.

What is wrong with your new tyres on the bike...........![]()

Nowt, just thinking ahead is all![]()

I had RS3s on my K1600GT and will be putting them on my new one at the first change. And will give them a go on my GSA as well. Very good grip wet or dry, no cupping or deforming with miles.
They do seem to have quite stiff sidewalls that really suits big, heavy bikes, but there is no special "GT" heavy duty version - in fact the complete opposite, they do a "SP" version version for lighter, sportier bikes.

Yes, I get what you mean, Dunlop are calling them all GT (Grand Touring?) tyres.
But with, for example, the Pirelli Angel, Michelin Pilot Road 4 and many others there is a "GT" or "HWM" (Heavy Weight Motorcycle) version of the tyre that sits beside the standard version and has stiffer sidewalls and are recommended for things like the K1600 as they have stiffer sidewalls to handle the extra weight. So you would put Michelin Pilot Road 4 on a GS and Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT on the K1600.
The Roadsmart 3 is a pretty tough tyre with stiff sidewalls and there is not a special heavy duty version, and I use it on my K1600 as it handles the weight well and grips and steers as good as sport tyres did a few years ago. As the GSA is quite a big beast I will probably put them on that at the next tyre change as well - but it is a road only tyre with no off-road ability.

Will you be putting the "GT" or "HWM" tyres on the GSA? Do you think the added weight of the Adventure model would benefit from them? Asking as I have a GSA.

Thats fine, if im off road, then ive crashed into a hedgeDont do any off piste riding, i dont have the legs for it. Ive been looking at PR5s and they dont seem to be doing well at all. I used to use PR3s and thought they were brilliant but not available now AFAICS. So looks like it will be RSs when time comes.

Del I have PR5 on currently so interested in your statement that they 'are not doing well'. Could you share what you've seen, heard read as need to change mine very shortly. Had Roadsmart 3 on before and really liked them but PR5 have lasted better.
