Dunlop tyres

As far as I know I have the standard RSIIIs on my GSA and they have been excellent, maybe the GT suffix is a bit of marketing flim flam?

I think it was on here somewhere i saw it. The PR5s had a very funny wear pattern on them and were just about shot at 4k miles i think it was. Take a look using search function im sure it was in the last couple of weeks. When i read the post it immediately put me off them.

Ok I thought it was somewhere else. My thoughts on PR5 are the exact opposite. The Roadsmarts, which I really rated, wore quicker than the current PR5. In fact I now have 7,000 MLS on PR5 and they are still excellent and reckon I have another 1,000 remaining at least. Would be happy with either next

Just posted last week on the 1200 hexhead section about the Dunlop Trailsmart Max tyres on my GSA LC , currently have over 6000 miles on the rear and it still has 5.5mm tread in the centre and the front is barely worn from new .
Amazing as in the past on any of my BMW's I have never managed more than 3500 to max 4000 miles to a rear tyre .
On my last LC the PR4 rear was shot at 3000 miles , the Avon after that wore out even faster and the Anakee 3 on the rear of the current bike was 2/3 worn at 2200 miles

Can't wait to get rid of the OE Bridgestones, worse than the Anakee's fitted to my 2014 model!!

I think a better phrase would be "one guy on here has managed to wear them out quickly by riding very hard on them" - I know the post you are thinking of but I cant quite remember the posters name.

but everything else I have read about the road5's seems to be that they are excellent. Two of my riding mates have them and sing their praises to anyone who will listen (and most who wont!) - they are wearing very well indeed - the only downside is that they seem to be the most expensive tyre on the market! (along with metzeler roadtec 01's)
