DVD`s etc onto an ipod classic?

Hi folks,

Whats the most recommended download for getting dvd`s and youtube etc onto an ipod classic? I`ve done a search but was wondering if there`s any more recent downloads that people prefer & are easy to use for the hard of thinking

I know others recommend different software but I use Cucusoft DVD to iPod.

There's free trial version with a watermark to play with first.

The only trouble is, some DVD's seem to be recorded in very short sequences and Cucusoft sees the individual scenes as 'movies.'

To use the software you just open the DVD in the programme and tell it to convert to MP4. Once it's done the converted movie is on your hard-drive to just then drag and drop into iTunes.

It's free and it works a treat!

Well I`ve tried for trhe past 2 hrs to get an epoisode of LWR from DVD onto my ipod and have given up in disgust
I haven`t a bloody clue how to do it I`ve downloaded DVD shrink to get rid of the encoding but don`t know how to do it. Effing computers I hate them

Search for "DVD Decryptor".... download it and run it with the DVD in the drive...

Then Run Handbrake with iPOD video (classic???) as the preset... and run it again... Pointing to the directory where you ripped the DVD to with Decryptor...

Depending on your processor, both these will run at about real time.... ish.... (so expect a 2 hour move to take 3 or 4 hours to process)

Then you put the mp4 file into the place where iTunes expects to see it and get on the iPod...
