Whilst searching for some battery info for my R1200r I came upon this. I thought you LC owners would be interested in it.

Not the most recent post on you tube ( Oct 2015 ) but the power/torque showed should be close enough to the latest Euro4 spec.

Interesting to watch, compare the power/torque plots to other graphs seen in this section.

I have no connection with this company. My bike is completely standard and I am happy with it. I was a LC owner but went back to the last of the twin cams.

Said it before it is how the engine is treated in the first few thousand miles and 'run in', if someone is too careful with them labouring them and pottering around at low speeds then they will not perform.

At work we had two identical vehicles almost consecutive VIN's , one was given to a colleague who was to be brutally frank was a shite driver (slow but dangerous), I got the other , my vehicle was used hard from new BUT every shift the fluid levels were checked and it was never laboured, it ran for 150,000 miles that we had it , never used oil between services and was uterly smooth and free revving .

The other one always ended up feeling as rough as a badgers *rse and used oil from the time she got it (1 litre plus in 1000 miles) and it eventually was taken off fleet at 90 odd thousand miles.

Bosses decided that she was never allowed to touch any new vehicles until they had done at least 10,000 miles.

My first 1150gs was 3 years old with less than 3000 miles on the clock and was tight , it wasn't until it had over 12,000 miles on the clock that it felt free and smooth, similarly the engine on my 2011 gsa TC got better with age the motor performing much better once it had got over 10,000 miles on the clock

Totally agree. Is why I didn't bat an eye lid to have my 2 week old GSA with 150 miles on the clock remapped and a dyno run. Probably the best thing I did.
