I was looking this weekend at a Specialized Turbo Levo 2025 at Evan’s Cycles in Keighley. This will be my first e-bike and I want to ensure that whatever I buy it’s worth the money cos they ain’t cheap.
So firstly does anyone have any experience with this bike, good or bad?

Alternatively does anyone have anything similar they’re thinking of selling?

Ta, 👍

The main thing to check on e-bikes is the motor & battery they come with. Research those and you'll see whether the Bike is good or not. The rest of the components (brakes, wheels, suspension, etc) can be replaced easily.

As a rule of thumb, you want a motor with at least 85+ NM of torque, and a battery of 400Wh to give you plenty of range/power depending on your usage.

The above bike meets that specification 👍

Google up reviews on the e-motor and see what people say.

If it is the Specialized 2.2 Custom Rx Trail Tuned Motor, which it might be. It looks as though previous iterations were unreliable, and most people were going through multiple motors in relatively short periods of time.

Excellent bikes and well respected with decent after sales service. I have the E180rs and its been excellent plus feels quality with good components .

At least with Specialized you get a decent warranty….akin to BMW Motorrad

This is my Gen1 Levo first edition

Had it since late 2017

+1 for Specialized Levo. I've a gen 3 model and it's been nothing but perfect. They are excellent, well balanced and seriously fun to ride. 1000068638.jpg

I was talking to Timolgra off here last week. He was out on his Specialized S works and also has a turbo kinevo or levo. He loves them. My wifes street Specialized Turbo Vado has been a great buy and is coming up to 4000 miles. Brilliant e brand

Johnny I haven’t seen his old one for a while, I know he sent the motor away for uprated bearings and innards. His latest S Works looks trick. It has mouldable armour around the motor and bottom bracket. He’s really enjoying his e biking 👍

There was a cube tm emtb for sale on here last week, looked like new, and looked like a fantastic deal, I have the same motor and battery on my cube and its done over 4k miles and still rides great, I fitted a speedi magnet cheat and that makes it far more enjoyable to use,

what do they weigh out of interest
You need to be more specific, it's a bit like asking how much does a motorbike weigh.

They are all different....some are now called "Full Power" or "Full Fat" with larger batteries a generally burlier build. They are heavier than a lighter weight Trail EMTB like the Trek FuelEX+
