Ear plugs - loss of hearing in one ear

you'll have to put the oil in your ear a couple of times a day for a week before they will syringe your ears. best start now ;)

BTW oil on it's own has never worked for me.

Cos they meant olive oil.....not dirty engine oil off ya fingers!! :D

Use two bricks ...... get someone to bash them together between your legs.....
It does not hurt...............

Unless you get your thumbs caught between them!!

:D :D :D :D

Well it would take your mind off going deaf
I will get my coat now

What a relief, it was only a lump of old coal in my ear after all :D

Amazingly I managed to get an appointment straight away at the surgery. The nurse said yup it's a plug of wax all right and suggested almond oil. Although the chemist had almond oil they recommended Otex as it should work quicker, so that's what I bought. Thanks for the suggestions everyone :beerjug:

John , I have regular problems with my ear waxing up due to an narrow ear cannel. Use olive oil that is slightly heated and massage the ear as it is put in. This softens the wax and it usually comes out of its own accord.

If really bad needs Doc to syringe!

However, either way as they say don't insert anything bigger than your elbow into your ear without prior medical assistance! :thumb

Just remember to use extra virgin olive oil, not the cooking stuff. Rec  ommend going to a delicatessen to peruse the choice available.
