Easter 2010

Hi all

Great site clear and concise.

I am planning a trip to Morocco Easter 2010, will only have 6 days in Morocco going on a Harley so only want to travel on tarmac. Would prefer to stay in smaller hotels or hostels (not to save money but more to meet like minded people).

A happy day is 250 to 300 miles but have been known to ride up to 800.

Could you recommend and post your favourite tarmac roads and places to see to give a real flavour of Morocco.

Will be travelling Plymouth - Santander on 4th April so if there is anybody out there travelling on the same boat and want to share a beer please post.

aye me and the missus are on the afternoon boat on the 4th april.
will have a get together in the bar
and get the map out.
we are planning on a bit of camping in morocco to keep costs down but will probably use the hotel/hostel excuse too (propper meal and shower etc)
will be taking a 2 day bimble down through spain finding a hotel on route (weather depending)
Look out for the gs on "manx plates"

travel light!! they sell spare undies in morocco!

I met Ian Mutch (editor of The Road and chairman of the Motorcycle Action Group) riding his Harley in Morocco. He stopped--as many Harley riders have done--at BikersHome in Ouarzazate.

The wife and I are thinking about going down at the same time.. Plymouth to santander then driving down through Spain en route to... Marrakesh and maybe some place on the coast (any recommendations welcomed). As it will be our first long trip on the bike (past France) the wife is a bit hesitant but would feel better if we had another bike or two traveling along. Any one fancy a jaunt. Once we get down there we'd be looking at staying in nice hotels and if I'm good I could get out for some exploring for a day or so if the pool is nice. Anyone interested in making a plan?

howd guys, sounds like we may have to get the maps out on the boat, have been down to morrocco before but the missus hasn't
so pointing out a few good roads shouldn't be a problem
yeah were on a bit of a magical mystery tour, off the rock in the irish sea for a month so some soppy (she says "romantic") time together barf.
go through the morocco data base on this site and get your paper work sorted before you leave for morocco, nice campsite in tarifa to stay at the night before we hit morocco, good food and showers
