I left home near Durham on Good Friday evening at 21.45 and headed down to the channel tunnel for an early morning train, arrived at Folkstone at 01.50 am fror my train booking of 05.20 am. On booking in I was offered the choice of the next available train to France at 02.40 am. Through customs very quickly, boarded the train at 02.25 am, left on time and arrived in France at 04.15 am with the 1 hr time difference.
Out onto the A16 corridor and had a pleasant ride from there travelling past Brugge, Ghent, Antwerp, Eindhoven & into Nobis at Asten for breakfast before continuing on to Germany via Essen, Bochum, Dortmund & leaving the motorway at Soest to ride across country via Beverungen, & Uslar, Biker Point Fuchs for Lunch then onto Northeim, Windhausen, Bad Grund, Clausthaller Zellerfeld, Braunlage, to my destination in Wieda arriving at 13.15 pm local time. A distance of 826 miles. 44.5 mpg returned by the bike for the journey which I'm very happy with.
The Carpuride performed perfectly, MRA route planner journey was cast from my phone to the Screen and I've found it the best, clearest method of navigation I've used in many years, it is by no means 100% perfect yet but MRA are working to add more desirable options all the time which will improve what is already an excellent platform. I'm able to control my Amazon music through the connection to my phone and the wonderwheel integration is excellent once you master its use.
Loaded and ready for the off :)
