I know why is it cuz your:eek::eek::eek:
Numbers are now dwiddling, its cold its frosty, i thought bmw gs and proper winter riders (me) are up for fun. Ah well im still going, if you arent afriad of a bit of cold weather, mud and the countryside i will be at bentley village hall at 10am. Its next to the cross roads in the centre of the village. I will wait on the x roads in front of the hall. I will go at 10.15am. See you there.

Millard - are you on the KLX? did you fix the compression in the end? I haven't run the DRZ since our last trip so I am not sure if it will fire, but I will have a go today. I am told it should be 7degrees warmer tomorrow :Motomartin Balmy.

I have your number Horse so I will text you later if I am a no-go otherwise I will be there.

still planning to be there at 10, then decide if its tarmac or dirt ;)

I'm still planning to come along to meet at Bently, but as a newbie to greenlaning just on the little 125 Honda, the 1200 can stay tucked up this time. It's still about -4C here today at 10:00 south of Basingstoke so we'll need all those 7 degrees extra for tomorrow, but the lanes will still be frozen I guess. So I'll see you at Bentley and we can take it from there....

Hi Mike
I straightened the bent valves wi a big hammer and after a lot of pissing about finally got it running, but the carb needs tweaking.
I've been in Spain for a coupla weeks and the shed's been to bloody cold of late to be honest so it's been neglected.
I was gonna use the GS as it's billed as a GS run - so just gotta change the back tyre as the old one's worn down, although there was a brake warning light on last time out on Adam's run before Xmas, but I think that might just be caked mud on the ABS sensor - hopefully.
I'll clean it off today and see what happens.
Either way I'm looking forward to a run out in the lanes tomorrow so should see you all there.

parking

Is there ample parking for my van in the village?

I am tempted to bring the pogo for a run now I have her running properly.

Tom

Im sure you can park van in the village, ther is a hieght barrier on the village hall car park. But there is plenty of places to park:thumb2

Looking forward to this, as this is my first outing on my gsa with a group, should be fun, i have checked the last of the lanes, time pending and depending on how many times people make themselves arse`s (yes including me) :blast
I have a couple routes in my head.

See you all tomorrow, nice to get to know the fellow tossers:thumb2

Have fun guys, I rode some of the lanes around Four Marks before Christmas with Hondaman and a few guys he knows - similar weather to this. The green lanes where fine, but there was a lot of ice on the road sections in between.

Looking at the forecast you guys should be fine though - just keep an eye on the tarmac sections.

Guys, just to say thanks to Horse for hosting us today, and sorry I did not make it to the pub. I did head out to Wolverton after you all on the Honda but did not quite keep up and failed to find it. Nae mind, there'll be another time. As a newbie I had a great time, even if the description of 'Gentle greenlaning' was a little stretched at times! Anyway, I'll look out for the next one in the area and look forward to the pictures and videos in due course....

Horse 1200,

'Gentle' Greenlaning......

Hi Guys,

Sorry to have to bail out early, had a fantastic ride and look forwards to the next one.
Haven't had chance to glue and bash the bike back together yet but she'll be fine. After all, in the words of Millard "It's a BMW!".
Also look forwards to any pics/vids when they get posted (none of my bike 'napping' I hope! :augie)

Great to meet you all!

Thanks to Horse1200 for organising a great ride!:thumb2
