Easy lanes on Saturday

am meeting up with the infamous sexual predator that is Dakardude, and one time ladyboy, "******(identity top secret)*****" on Saturday morning for some easy laning in Lancashire, about 6 lanes in total...all good for beginners or for brushing off the cobwebs....a good fun day out.

Meeting at Tickled Trout at 10am. Be there, or be square! Only rule is nobbly tyres a must...

Had it been dry for a week or so, maybe. Perhaps for someone that's ridden off road before, but if you've not ridden off road, and given the trails will be damp and muddy I'd say you'll need TKC's fitting. Put it this way, with road tyres, it won't be a case of 'if' we pick your bike up, but 'how many times' we pick your bike up.....

What a top day, nice one heading it up Stevie, had an absolute scream! Doc - cheers for keeping an eye out for us mate, it was my first crack at laneing on the Katoom

£12.00 to fix my right hand-guard, best £12.00 I ever had to spend for such a top day out!

Stevie managed every part of todays route on his GSA, flawlessly, but what left Doc and me speechless was his climb up the rockiest bit of Salter Fell -he got right up it perfectly on his GSA. Absolutely stunning piece of riding.


The sad bit, we didn't get a photo or any video! Doh!

For someone who has not been off road before you did extremely well - and you weren't scared of a challenge - I can see that Klim gear having that used look very soon !!

I think that you should change the lower banner of your handle to adventuresmurf

Cheers mate! Really enjoyed it. You did great on that Honda, you should buy it!

Slightly scarey a couple of times (those "puddles" that were a heck of a lot deeper than expected, those mounds on the Fell that I hit badly and one of them threw me forward like I was going over the bars!), but that's what made it more fun.

The Klim gear cleaned up a treat. Just finishing an oil change on the Katoom, new handguard retaining bolt due Tuesday!

Good effort Jim, nice bike.
I was working for the last 4 days so missed this Stevie, drop me a line next time your planning a ride on the lanes & I'll pop over on the DRZ. Worked out it's 50 miles to Preston but I'll give it a go. Working a weird shift pattern so free most weekdays.
My subscription ends on Thursday so another name change is on the way.
