Toad, I'm on road tyres, but tomorrow I'm going to try and buy the infamous TKC80s :D

It's been agreed :yikes

Hmmmmmmmm.......

On the GSA with road tyres...

I wonder if I can get some TKCs for the w/e............????????????

Great news chap - pleased to have you along. I've done it on Tourances with the G/F on the back so it's not that gnarly :thumb

But if you give your local tyre dude a call, he can probably get them in for Sat morning

Can't do this Sunday

But if it is possible for th 7th as well I would be up for that!

I got my MX boots last night! I'm going to look the part at least.

Now, I cant decide, Trousers inside or outside of the boots....

Excellent see you there - no stories I promise. I think it's great you've gone on to do more off road stuff - there should be more guys like you.

Burt

Just back from Tyre shop! now got TKCs on. looking forward to sunday.

Like a couple of others I can't do this week or next week either:(. If there's anything on the 14th count me in.

Cheers

Any space for another GS?

I may be able to make it, depends how messy saturday night gets.

Sure there's room - and as for how messy it gets tonight.... is there a better way to clear a hangover? :D

So far we have - Burtie, Wee Ewan, Toad and possibly Ghost Cav.

Hi Mav,

My mate and I could be up for this if that's ok, just wondering about difficulty though?

I'd be on my 1200GS with alloys and Battlewings , my mate on his GSA with road tyres.

I did some off-road two years ago on a X-Callenge but nothing as big as my GS, my mate hasn't done any at all.

Would be glad of your thoughts.

Cheers Lee. :thumb2

If you're confident on your bike and aren't afraid of dropping it occasionally, then you'll probably be okay. We won't be going fast.

To give you an example of the lanes we'll be doing:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/506452982/" title="IMGP0934 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/194/506452982_6b81f3b680_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMGP0934" /></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/506480219/" title="IMGP0930 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/228/506480219_31c35dcf60_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMGP0930" /></a>

As long as you take it steady and don't expect too much grip :augie you should be ok. But there are plenty of points to stay on the road and there are some great roads and pubs around here :thumb2

Cheers for that Mav.

Hopefully see you at 10am in the morning, just need to confirm with my mate.

Lee. :thumb

If you can confirm either way so we know whether to wait for you, that would help :thumb2

Mav. If you have any places left may I come? I'm on F800GS with Battlewings, am a green lane novice and don't own a single item of MX gear - just road stuff, so will look a complete noob but what the heck. Winchcombe is ten minutes from me.

Got your PM Blobby.

Sure, come along. As I said earlier, as long as you take it steady and don't mind dropping the bike a few times, you'll be fine. As to the lack of MX kit - the real issue is making sure you have good boots and body armour... and that you don't mind getting it muddy :D
