hello

well you may think i m a lunity but hey.. everyone s got a weird desire ..well mine is to pull a whellie..

can anyone advise on the best and easy way to pull one please ?

they just look so cool got to do one..:bounce1

Cheers

My advise is don't bother trying as mistakes can land you and people around you in A&E.

Timpo.

Especially a bad idea on a F650 with their notoriously poor quality steering head bearings.

There are wheelie schools available where you can get proper tuition and use the schools bike. A more expensive route than trying to learn yourself but then again it could potentially work out cheaper...

The F650 barely has enough power to move forward never mind pull a wheelie. :rob

You might find it easier to throw a whellie than pull one

Firstly wear a back protector & a helmet.

Ride along in 2nd gear open thottle then quickly close it. The forks will compress then as they un-compress you crack teh throttle leaning back slightly covering the rear brake.

Good luck and once you have cracked that then we can go on to master going up through the gears.

If you can pull a wheelie on a F650 it is probably restricted. Or you are geared wrong. I can wheelie off the power in 1st gear and off the fork compression in 3rd. it helps if you are standing up too although it is pretty scary when you do it first time like that.

Drop clutch wheelies tend to screw up your second gear dogs and crap landings screw up the steering head bearings.

can you recommend one ?

Thanks

Nah forget the safety gear and just get yourself one of these .

The ONLY way to do practise safely...........otherwise dont bother :thumb

Excellent vid Rushy!

My advise, don't pull one infront of a Spanish Traffic Cop (or three) they have no sense of humour and it'll be very expensive!

Been there, done that.

Trust me, I used to get into top gear on my Husky, on the back wheel for ages.

They were't little girly wheelies, but full on, mudguard over the head, numberplate scraping babies.

Then one day when I thought I was in control, it all went horribly wrong!!! Over the brow of a hil she dug in proper stylee and sent me sliding down the road at 65mph+

I will never forget the 2 months it took for that scab on my arse to heal!! Everytime I sat down it opened up, seeped into my undies and then stuck my undies into the new scab. Remove undies and scab at the same time and start over again!!!

My advice would be to try it on grass :D:D:D

By the way, the Husky (lighter full enduro left kick version) still required new exhausts, new plastics, handlebars, grips and levers.
A dakar is likely to be close to a rightoff after a similar incident.

Make sure you really want to do this before you do, and be prepared for a big bill.

Tis huge fun though :blast:blast:blast
