EBike Insurance

Hello all, I am picking up my new 1200gs this week and am currently organising insurance for it.
I like the price that I have been quoted by Ebike in Australia. Has anybody here dealt with them and had any experiences good or bad that they are willing to tell me about?

Like all insurance companies, they're great right up to the point you make a claim. Then they might not be so great. But as I've not made a claim, I don't know how good they are in this respect.

I like the fact that you can change details on line. Makes life easier.

Two things I like about ebike... their pay as you go policy makes it more affordable when you can't stump up for a full years insurance... and when finances allow its a doddle to move over.

AND... their 'year' is 8 months long... so after 8 months you get a years NCB.

Plus point: cheap at point of sale ( although not always - worth ringing round ), minus points: you pay for it in the long run. Once they've got your money, they absolutely do not want to know you - god help you if you ever need to claim I'll never use them again.

Thanks for all the input. I have gone with QBE an Aussie insurance company that specialises in bikes and has been around for ages. They were about the same as Ebikes price and they have a proven reputation.

I am started to get a bit excited. I pick up the new bike tomorrow.
