evening all, my gsa has got its 6000 mile service on Friday I've ordered a set of tyres as of on a trip later this month but noticed the rear pads could do with a change, asked the dealer how much came in @ £67.70.. just for the rears.. asked the dealer if they were made using witchcraft to which he replyd I don't think so... so I asked why nrly £70 then! dealer says I can't use aftermarket pads as they will wear the disc quicker & void the warranty "oh really" any way ebc do a set for about £25 "more like it" that they claim are the first and only aftermarket pad to carry the ECE R90 group standard which basically means made equally as good if not improved over the original manufacturers part... so my question in all this is do you agree we should be able to use different components providing they aren't shit & what the hell do bmw put in their pads that's oh so special
