how does it ride both on and off the throttle at low speed. if its smooth and you dont get the urge to pull in the clutch on low speed corners yours may be ok. i had an upgrade back in august at the first service - not sure if thius is the latest but it did smooth things out a bit more. most significant effect was to remove(mostly) the uneven engine braking between 3000 - 2000 revs
Maybe you need to factor into your equation - nobody really knows
For what its worth, mine came back from its 6000 service with a huuuge amount of bottom end torque, pulls like the old 1150, and as smoooth as silk. Having said that I did ask the techy at Mill, who is pretty handy, to set the injector balance using the old fasioned method (guages rather than the new BM kit for the 12). But it felt like a different bike, maybe he did the update, never had the chance to ask him.
It gets rid of the power "hole" you get on hard acceleration at about 5k rpm, and almost (but not completely) removes the overrun lunge at about 2500 rpm. Acceleration is much smoother as a result.

Thanks peeps. Yes I do get this unevenness when decellerating through 2000rpm, like it doesn't want to slow down any more. I'll have a bitch when I take it in for its first service.
Cheers.

leaving the throttle shut with the revs in 2-3Krpm range it seems shudder a little, and there is a power step around 5Krpm.
Its definetly getting better though, and it pulls cleanly from 2Krpm (i thought i would try it once), the step at 5K is still there but not as pronounced now. (can get to it to pop a power wheelie...but like my old VTEC at 7K when the second set of valves kicked in)
600 tomorrow (with 900 on the clock ) so i shall get them to check the throttle bodies and fuelling.
MPG has gone from 38 to 41 so its getting a bit looser
