Edinburgh Sick Kids Toy Run

Stumpy previously told ya all we were going to do a toy run to the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital........ http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125163

We all met up at Motorrad Central East and folks got their bikes decorated for the short ride to the hospital from Dalkeith

Here's a shot of the soon to be Santa's decorating their bikes

I got mine set up as well.....

and even put a funky mohican on my Tour-X.....I'm going to leave it on for a while I liked it so much

Skynet turned up and with a stunning effort got everyone in the Xmas spirit with some tunes

we all arrived at the Sick Kids after a short ride where lots of folks in cars and walking along the streets were waving at us

everybody's presents were put into Santa's sack

which gave us a chance to meet some of the kids and families

Never managed to make it to one of the Sick Kid Easter Egg Runs so was glad to get the chance to take part in this run.

Good fun decorating the bike and couldn't believe everything was still intact after a 90 mile round trip. Great atmosphere amongst the riders and the general public on the run to the Sick Kids Hospital. It was so nice to see everybody waving, tooting horns and cheering as we went by. Got loads of amused looks with the procession of decorated bikes/riders and the Xmas music blaring out.

Can't believe the amount of presents we had managed to carry on our bikes and the kids were very pleased. Not many could get down to see us but one of my favourite moments was being able to have a sign language conversation with a very cheery girl with downs syndrome.

I think next year it will be a far bigger run and reckon there will be some amazing decorated bikes next time. I just need to find a Santa suit
