Hi All

Coming out of London last night I gave myself a wee bit of a scare. The fuel light came on in Victoria and I decided on previous experience of BMW fuel guages that I had loads of fuel left really (as they are always pesermistic aren't they) and headed off to Toddington services to fill the GSA's fuel bowser up. I got to Toddington with the lights still flashing and an estimated 4 miles left to empty according to the computer.

Imagine my surprise when I put 34.25 litres into the 33 litre tank

So do Toddington need their pumps measuring, or did I have a lucky escape?:augie

David I have done the same. I've never had an issue with my gauge it's pretty good. 08 gsa 18000 miles:beerjug:

I’ve been let down by mine, ran out of gas with ¼ tank showing and no low fuel warning light :blast

From a brimmed tank I know it will do at least 300 miles, I set the trip meter every time I fill up now.

Doh! Mine ran out last night with 1/2 tank on display, 256 miles range left, no fuel warning light on and bluuugh...Dead. Luckily i only had to rush it across a 4 lane ring road to a fuel station! BMW are gonna check the bike tomorrow. :( Oh, and my headlight has condensation. Shes only 4 weeks old. Not good...:(

So far (touch anything wooden within reach), my GS (non adventure) has been very accurate.

It even showed 10 miles left when there was only 1 litre in there....
