Saw these advertised on a YouTube channel.

They’re on sale Ila offer till about 2 November and if use use code NOEL you’ll get another 20% off.
I’ve ordered two and total cost was £69.60

Arrived today .
Had a quick trial run . Just threw in a load of T-shirts without doing it carefully . It certainly compresses to a smaller size , though not that clear in the vid .
Bags are waterproof too which is a bonus .

Think you ordered the non pro

They’re the old model with different side zip rather than the Pro with zip that goes around the top . Sorry 🤪

You can use the same little pump to blow up (or deflate) your camping airbed.

Where compression bags are handy, is for things like padded / bulky ‘Puffa’ type jackets. That said, the bags where you simply roll (as opposed to suck) the air out to compress the stuff inside work pretty well.

a good hotel , won't care what your bags look like . they want your money .
a hotel that judges by looks , makes a judgement that isn't correct.
I posted the link to the Ekster site as have been thinking about something similar for years and these are discounted with an even bigger discount using the code I mentioned .
Thought others may find it a good deal , and ChasMill obviously agreed.
But as this is UKGSER there’s always one (and only 🤪) who tries to send the thread off on a tangent . 🤦‍♂️

Next time you go off on an awesome adventure, post up a pic of all your kit in A4 ziplock bags 🤣

Bit like arriving at your hotel and unloading your Tescos bags for life carrying all of your kit

For a long time, Tesco bags (I think the freezer version) were the ‘Go To’ recommendation on these pages fot use in metal ‘Spam tin’ panniers. But, like Aerostich suits, they seem to have gone out of fashion.

Waitrose bags are stronger 🤣

Key Comparison

FeatureVacuum Pack Bags (Pump / Vacuum Cleaner)Roll-Up Compression Bags (Manual Rolling)
Space ReductionHigh (50% to 75% volume reduction)Moderate (30% to 50% volume reduction)
Equipment NeededHousehold vacuum cleaner, hand pump, or electric travel pumpNone—just your hands and body weight
Ease of Use on the GoHarder away from home unless you carry a travel pumpVery easy anywhere; roll from the top to push air out the valve
Wrinkle LevelHigher (deep, stubborn creases from intense pressure)Lower (less air is forced out, leaving softer folds)
Best ForBulky, non-daily items like winter coats, duvets, or pillowsSoft clothing, travel, and mid-trip repacking

Outside of very bulky items, I find that the simpler (and often much cheaper) manually rolled compression bags are more than adequate. That aside, for most jaunts (whether by plane, train, boat or automobile) the very simple packing cubes are great. Eagle Creek used to be the ‘Go To’ seller of the latter, but every man and his dog now seems to offer a packing cube of some sort or another.

........and the motorhome owner hopes his next number 2 after AB microwave meal wont block the cassette system otherwise its gonna get messy.... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

FFS.....got a lot of time on your hands this morning @Arsey .....either that or flying over oblivion somewhere and using the free WiFi....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

By the way, I´d still love a pair of gloves from Kushitani.

...and just booked 2 rooms at del Oso for next September. Want to get in early with that option....

what is wrong with an A4 ziploc bag , and squeeze the air out ?
funny that...I tend to travel with what I need rather than one pair of skiddies for 2 weeks and rinse / repeat in the hotel sink every night.....
I used the Ziplock bags for socks, grundies etc and worked fine but would not do for bigger items. I like the idea and will see if I can get a couple

Kushitani don’t seem to stock the larger gloves . I need 2XL which is the biggest they do and not seen any for months
