It’s time to move on our caravan as it’s not left the yard in 18 months.

A 2010 Eldiss Crusader Typhoon 4-berth caravan

It’s been sat in the yard at FiLs.
Bought last year from Norwich caravans, and after a change in circumstances it needs to go someone who will use it.
It’s an end bathroom style with spacious shower,

Weights and what size car do you need to tow?
Good questions well asked, I’ll check the A frame when I go there later…..
When we asked we were told under 2T and a good estate car will be sufficient. Wasn’t a concern as it was inside our 4x4 capability.
Please hold the line caller (for a few hours)

Weights and what size car do you need to tow?
somewhere around this

""The 2010 Elddis Crusader Typhoon has a Mass in Running Order (MIRO) of 1360 kg and a maximum allowable weight (MTPLM) of 1630 kg.""

but i'd wait for the official answer off the weight plate on his van :)

A shame you haven’t had time to use it Gav, we enjoy getting out in ours, just got back from a couple of days in the New Forest for a bit of respite from the daily grind. East Anglia has some great locations to visit, we hope to do a few next year (tied in with a visit to Peterborough to visit my daughter & grandson).

Well @JohnnyBoxer I couldn’t see any information on the van itself so will have to with Hwllffords’ info.

Did find the defender front towing cover though.

The weights are on the label just behind the door. You can just see it in pic number 6.

Basically, MIRO is "Mass in Running Order" eg the weight of the caravan whereas MTPLM is the Maximum train weight allowed once its filled with all your shit (like gas bottles, camping chairs, clothes, food etc etc.)

You can find all this stuff online.

And you need to make sure that you towing vehicle is rated to tow the MTPLM figure (it’s on the V5)

Caravan club recommend that the MPTLM is no more than 85% of the tow car kerb weight, reality is that many people will be at 95% or more.
IMO you’d want to be towing with something with a kerb weight of around 1700kg or more - Just my 2 pennies worth!

Time for a bump and price reduction to £6500.

It comes with a motor mover too.

Man came from Ipswich to look at it, paid the wife some money and it’s gone.
