That sounds good Ant, I guess it's an ESA shock, what was wrong with it? And is this Firefox of Keighley?

Cheers :thumb

Edit: going by the phone number it is http://firefoxracing.co.uk/ of Keighley

Yes it was a ESA shock and yes it's Firefox in keighley. The shock was pissing oil out after only 9,000 miles but bike was out of warranty.

Revs Racing will say they cant be rebuilt (meaning Revs dont do the work) but any shock with a screw-on seal end is almost certainly serviceable. The issue will be obtaining spares. Presumably parts are available for BMW ESA shocks.

I had a Dutch built WP that needed a new clevis. No deal. Everything got moved to Austria and the old shocks though often better made were not supported.

Running a shock until its dead usually means it cant be repaired but you still get charged for the stripdown. Sending it off when it starts to show signs of trouble is cheaper in the long run.

cheers Ant, worth knowing :thumb

It's also worth knowing the GS-911 has ESA shock calibration in the software now...

Thanks Ebbo, I'll download the latest version and check it out.
