Electric Shocks from BMW Heated Vest???

I've had one of the two-setting BMW vests for a few years. Wouldn't ride without it on colder days.

However, I've noticed that I get little electric shocks from it when I'm taking it off after use and wondered whether other owners have experienced this?

The shocks are like static electricity (maybe that's what they are from friction with the lining of my Roadcrafter suit?). They're not painful as such, but unpleasant enough to make me try to avoid touching the vest when I'm taking it off.

Before anyone asks, yes this is after the suit has been unplugged!

Interested to hear if you've experienced this. Anyone bold enough to do some testing by touching their vest shortly after turning it off???

TIA.

I sometimes wear mine without pluggung it in, and I get them. So it's static. Will probably try an anti-static fabric treatment between now and next winter.
