Need a new toggle switch for the passing lamps on the Road King, I is not going to a dealer as it seems they are made by Carling and fairly cheap elsewhere.

My question is, is there any harm in going for one with higher Amps? and does it make a difference if it's AC or DC?

Cheers in advance

Thinking about one of these maybe..

Cheers for that but is it OK to get one with a higher rating than that which is fitted or should I go with the same, I assume that as long as it is not lower rated it should be fine....

The higher rating just shows you what current and voltage the switch is "capable" of handling, as a maximum. A higher rated one is fine if it suits your needs.
Most manufacturers will reduce the design to the bare minimum to save on cost, whereas most engineers will "over-engineer" it.

Thank you all I shall get a higher amp one from Doris recommendation.....
