Hi All

anyone know of a bike electrician in Central Scotland. My Hid spotlights and headlights are acting up.

Cheers

Craig

if you give us a bit more info mate & if you can operate a fluke you could easily diagnose the problem yourself.:thumb or someone close by should be able to assist.
just a quick note,if your not electrically minded & yo.u have normal bulbs or in future carry some it is extremely simple to switch back to standard lighting to get you going.the trick is to have a go when at home so if it happens again you'll be sorted.before someone comments i know most folk don't carry a fluke but you can get minature units although this doesn't help you at present.

Thanks all, used to have a Fluke when I did some network support, but that was all data not electrics. No real idea about electrics.

Basically both my HID spotlights failed and my battery was dead, changed to a new MOTOBATT as the old one was a 7 year old oem BMW one, all appeared well in so far as bike started and HID mainbeam was working but still no spots, then on 2nd restart of bike mainbeam failed.

Not entirely sure if it's an elctrical failure or maybe a failure of all the ballast units.

Point duly noted re bulb change ;-)
