A very long way and bloody cold , left of thursday and travelled to Mainz , stayed in youth hostel v nice warm lockable garage.
Disaster next day beemer refused to start dead battery recovered to local motorrad and new battery fixed, unfortunatly left off earth to extra fuzebox this meant no power to heated clothing or sat nav . So off late and cold stopped when hands gave up. Its allways the same its either your hands ,feet or chin.
Saterday off to the rally started to get worried as no sign of others and then sight of bikers on GS,s going the other way.
Help at hand meet up with Sieg and followed him, beautiful day sunny and only -6.5 degrees , found out that somerallyers come on Wednesday and leave on Saterday. Campsite on in valley v steep and icy perfect.
Followed Sieg advice and left bike on road above the site ( so you could use a more road related bike )
So whats it like well cold ,fun,unforgetable noise 24hrs no sleeping too cold -12.00 at night so decided to apply liquid antifreeze in large quantitys.
Coffeee food ( all appeared to be pork related ) on site plus beer,wine ( hot) etc.
