Elka shocks / high & low speed compression damping

Has anybody tried Elka shocks on their 1200GS ?

They are available with either single rate or high & low speed compression damping, and I'm wondering if it is worth getting the dual rate damping. Does it make for too many adjustments ? Is dual rate that much better than single rate ? Can you really feel an extra improvement in ride quality with dual rate damping ?
I realise this is all subjective, and what works for one may not feel right for another.

Someone on ADV Rider is fitting a set to an 1150 Adventure. Might be worth having a look at, I'm sure there'll be a quick report when he's finished.
