Emily goes silent on me?

I've just returned from a trip around France and had a problem with the Zumo a couple of times whi9ch has left me slightly baffled.

The voice prompt (Emily!!) stopped being audible on a couple of occasions, at the same time the music which was playing sounded distorted and though it was only playing through one channel. I put it down to the Zumo popping onto battery whilst I filled up as when I stopped, and reset it the first time it was OK again. Second time I just gave up as I was nearly home and knew where I was going anyway.

I have it linked into my Autocom and I'm wondering if the issue is a Zumo or Autocom one?

I'd have a look at the contacts on the mount and the zumo to see if there's any crud on them. Might also be worthwhile checking the cradle socket and autocom lead haven't got dirty too.

I had something similar and as John suggests check and clean all your leads, it worked for me!

Thanks fellas, I'll check the leads tomorrow, although it's only been on the bike since March!

It was just the fact it did it twice in 11 days that threw me, the rest of the time it was fine.

Working fine once again,. maybe Emily was just having a sulk! She is louder today than she's ever been, and aside from making sure the leads were OK at the cradle I've done nowt??
