Served in the Royal Signals some years ago and trained at Catterick Garrison. I haven't been back there for 23 years so got up early today, pointed the bike north and went for it!
Tiresome on the A1 but reached the garrison in good time.

I spent time at both of the barracks. Rode off quickly before the military police mistook me for a terrorist!
Richmond was a favourite haunt - cracking town

Very windy over the moors on my way to Whitby...never seen so many people in one town-it was swarming. Needless to say I didn't stop!
Went across the moors via fyllingdales, malton and pickering and ended up here...any guesses?

All in all a very good day - weather was good, though very windy on top of t'moor. Knackered at the end. 320 miles in 9 hours.

As an aside - wore my HG cruise jacket today. Very warm weather but for the first time I've not come home wet with sweat.
Top marks to the jacket:thumb2

Good man - you must be a local?
Never been there before. The house was shut though looking at all the outbuildings it must be some big estate?
Lost count of the number of bikes going out towards scarborough - lots of GSs as well.
