Greetings from Scandinavia. I have one technical problem. Recently during normal cleaning operation I took gas tank away and found two empty electrical sockets under the tank. One is longer and located top of the ecu and other one is tied on to the front subframe. The latter is more cubical one. The bike is GS 2008 model.

One auxiliary socket under the headlight is used to the navigator and it works via canbus so I wonder for what purpose are those two connector?

BTW I think that this is my first post to this forum (was able to sign in without being UK GS owner).

Second one is but opposite side.

can you see the wire colours for each wire into each plug? that would assist

Problem solved (via internet). One socket is for the charcoal canister valve, another one for the additional headlight. For the headlight it was a factory option and one can buy full harness + lights around 400 euros (lights are LED).

another l\x socket question!

moving on from this, ive bought a Tom Tom with a BMW power connecter (Female) i have been told there is a socket under the headstock /tank, i cant see it with the tank cover in place, do i have to remove it to find wher to connect to ?
