Just gone for the single Akra titanium can with a heal tech servo elimiinator. With the valve open its just right - nice burble and a little pop on the shift down. On my Tram 1300 it looks great in the black!
Wouldn’t know, but the switch gives you flexibility to switch it back to factory anywhere that you might want it quiet. Not an expensive addition and easy to fit.Do you need the heal tech servo eliminator?
Can’t you just disconnect the cables?
I believe you get error codes without it.Do you need the heal tech servo eliminator?

I haven’t on either my M1000R or the 1250 GS. I left the servo motor on the bikes, but disconnected the cables from the valves.I believe you get error codes without it.

If you want the max noise with a can only, the healtech lets you remove the servo completely.I haven’t on either my M1000R or the 1250 GS. I left the servo motor on the bikes, but disconnected the cables from the valves.
Yes i disconnected the cables at the flappy end so the flap stays open and the cables just hang there. Not 'noisy' but a nicer noise and no errors.Do you need the heal tech servo eliminator?

They must have done something to stop the engine warning light coming on! On my 1250 if you disconnect the cables, the servo still tries to open the flap and because there is a spring on the flap the resets the servo, if the servo can't reset, it throws an engine warning light. On the 1200s the same happened, but there was only an error on the ecu and no warning lights on the dash. That is what the servo eliminator module used to do, fool the ecu.Yes i disconnected the cables at the flappy end so the flap stays open and the cables just hang there. End can is usually my first mod on any bike, but to be honest the R1300's can actually looks half decent and today on the ride back from having it's first service today it's got a real nice deep burble. Not sure shelling out nigh on a grand for either of the Akra cans is really worth it?
Can’t help myself farkling a new bike! Sometimes it’s nice just to fiddle a bit and look at things like that.I haven’t changed a standard exhaust since I put an expansion chamber job on my Vespa 200
Don’t see much point on a modern 4 stroke
