Enduro Africa - great feedback

Some might remember that H.R.H. Oonyack and myself rode in the first of the 2007 Enduro Africa events at the end of October. During that trip all the participants were asked to dig a little deeper in their pockets to raise over 30,000 Rand to provide desks and chairs for a school just outside the township of Willowvale (Google Earth files of the whole trip are available at http://www.offroad-motorsport.com).

A few photo’s of what the school was like are below.

During the second trip, two weeks after we returned home, the school got the new desks and chairs we had raised the money for and as a video crew were on the trip for 2Wheels TV they filmed the new desks and chairs being delivered

It’s good to see such an immediate response to our putting our hand in our pockets and everyone involved with the trip and in particular Mike Glover and Red Cherry are to be congratulated

I’ve signed up for Enduro Himalaya in August and I know I won’t be the only UKGS’er on that trip either, but I’ll leave the other(s) to “expose themselves”

It is always better to see the good that has been done and will continue to be done with enduroafrica and that is one of the best adverts for the enduro.

I'm off to India a week on Sunday with enduro and may be in the Himalaya's in Sept too.

Enduro Africa 2008

I've signed up for Enduro Africa 2008 and was wondering if any other GSer is going, or know anyone who is ?

Was originally going on the Enduro Italy but swapped to the Africa trip when that collapsed. I wasn't too happy about the donations going to Zimbabwe (thought most would probably end up in Mugabe's private bank account) so now the charities have changed I'm eager to go.
