Enfield Woodman EFI first service guess how much!!!!!

yep Oil and Grease .The paint finish on the tank was not perfect so they fitted a new one!! one of the side panels lugs was loose so another on the way.Perfect service .I ride these in the Himalayas and they have a lot of street cred:D:thumb2 love my GSA but love the Woodsman as well:thumb

They are a nice cheap ride.
Hopefully they are immune to the thieving youths as they have no street cred in this country.

hi robbo

i am waiting for delivery of my new bullet efi military... any tips for a new owner?!

:thumb2

Run it in Gently 40 to 55mph tops for the first 3-500 miles, they can seize otherwise!!! Otherwise easy but a slow run in process.they loosen up with miles and mines much smoother now. You'll find the aftersales support amazing.Every bike is a bit different and I love the fact its come from India ,a Country I absolutley adore:thumb2

two days in and 130 mile done.
Still another 170 to go then i can get its first service out of the way and up the top speed to 55mph without fear!

What a lovely bike. Cant say enough about it... been grinning every mile of the way.

Even had a few hells angels looking round it on sunday evening :D

You chaps with your modern "efi" engines, don't know your born etc etc !:rob

I have a 91 indian built 500cc iron barrel bullet, and every day, in every way, I have been transported straight back to the 50's when I ride it. Endless 50's style schedule of fettling required to keep it in top form- frequent engine oil changes, countless tappet adjustments, carburetor fiddlings, electrics sorting, tightening loose this that whatever, endless brake/clutch/primary chain adjustments, aluminum and chrome polishing, cable oiling etc etc

And you know what, I absolutely love it, wouldn't have it any other way, it has made me a proper "motorcyclist" as opposed to just a rider- I have had more 55mph fun on this device than just about any other bike going!

And who give a flying sh*t about street cred anyway!

My tip - ride it as much as possible. And then a bit more!:JB

Robbo, you are clearly happy with this great bike. Do you know if you can get non EFIs? I have been looking for a while but no luck. And importing from India is a bit of a nightmare. Ideally I'd like a bullet just like the India trip.
Are you doing Cambodia in late November?

Hi, there are no new non EFI's but plenty of carb'd 500's about on E Bay.There are a few low mileage 350's about like we use in the Himalayas. I am not on the November Cambodia trip , but will be there in February. The New Himalaya trip is out of this world if you ever consider going back , its a very different experience as we go to Leh now:thumb2
