Well made and finished. Fitting is easy as long as you have a good set of Torx heads. However, they need to be taken off for servicing! The mechanics at the local dealer reckoned they offered better protection than the standard BMW ones. Bought from Paul Cave - excellent service - look up 'Caveman' in members list.
They don't interfere with servicing, as they only need removed because the bash plate needs removed. Since the bashplate and bars use the same mounting, it isn't an issue. And the bike can be serviced without removing the bash plate anyway.
Thanks for the tips guys. I've tried to link up with Caveman alas with no joy yet. Anyway I think that I'll get myself a set when I can get to see Caveman that is...

CW in Dorchester charged me £15.00 to remove the crash bars at my first service as they claimed they couldn't get the rocker box covers off to check/adjust the valve clearances. They claim they need to pull them out approx 3 ins in order to lift them free. If this is not the case and someone can confirm this I'm going back to them to get my money back!
Then again CW would probably charge you to have a piss in their toilets!
I was told categorically by Charles Hurst Motorrad that they were able to service the bike without removing the bars. I need to call in sometime later this week, so I'll ask the specific question about rocker heads (unless yez want to actually post on the forum instead of lurking lads? Just for a wee change? ).
Just managed to take delivery of my SW bars, fitted them this morning. Cracking service from Caveman who delivered them personally and the bars look the business, nice deep lacquer finish and they don't look out of place once fitted.
