What is the general concensus. Looking for protection in case of the dreaded dropping of the bike. Any advice greatfully recieved.:thumb

Both I'd say.

Mine has the cylinder head protectors but I'm after some engine bars too eventually. I'm spent up though at the moment so that'll have to wait!

My bike came with Hepco & Becker bars which I'm glad as it fell off the side stand on my drive and went down with one hell of a bang.:blast
The bars took the fall and it also scraped the hand guard but no damage to anything else.

Not sure what they cost (as they were on the bike when I bought it) but I would say money well spent:thumb

All the best

Threw my GS up a wet road in Australia at 30mph or so.

Hepco & Becker bars ground down nicely on the tarmac and saved the engine from damage, which I very much doubt head protectors would have done.

Easily mig-welded up again with a piece of mild steel pipe to cover the damage and a lick of silver paint.

Highly recommended.
