Guys has any body fitted these wonderlich bars to a 2014 onwards RT ?

http://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/case-protection-bar-6.html

I currently have the engine head covers on and would like to keep them on, as well as adding the lower bars, Just wondered if the head covers cause any conflict and stop the bars being fitted.

I also have the BMW LED spots dont think they will interfere with these, but if any one has this set up could you let me know please

Thanks in advance

My bike came with the BMW head covers on. Unfortunately, they had to be removed to fit the Wunderlich bars.

I fitted the engine bars last year and they are pretty close in places. So it would be a tight fit I suspect , why would you want to keep the engine bars and the cylinder head protectors. Surely the latter are superfluous to requirements? If you require any measurements send me the positions you want to measure and I'll try and do my best to the next few days

Cheers the for that....the bars won't fit with head protectors on , just tried them . So head covers off bars on

I have a front and rear set in silver, the RT has fallen twice onto right side, both times after I had been off the bike for a few mins, when the suspension settled or made a noise. IMHO the side stand is too long, and I don't trust it.

The bars protected the bike on the both occasions, but on the second one, the RH pannier was open and has been scratched.

As I had silver bars, used smooth hammerite to repair the chipped powder coating, but quite happy and glad I had them fitted.

The frog of the engine bar does chafe on the right lower panel, and the wrap around foam they provide fell off ages ago.

Sold the head covers to a Tosser in Liverpool, but got his address house number wrong, and never saw them again, and had to refund them.

The bars look nice and whilst I'm sure there are plenty more to choose from now, back in 2014 these were the only ones available.

this I agree with and You have hit the nail on the head….Im Hoping I'm not as unfortunate as you and that might bike stays upright, But I want the bars for protection just in case….
