Quick one, will a set of engine bars from a 2001 1150gs fit my 2003 1150gs? Plus mine has the bigger tank if that makes a difference....

YES
just depends what type bars you want.
also gap between tank and bars may be tight.
bigger tank?adv? bars may just protect engine
f the bike rolls on them,you will bash the lower lobes of the big tank.

cheers, i did kind of think that I might need the adv bars as the bike has got the adv fuel tank. do you know if the adv bars would fit onto my standard gs as such?

I also have an 1150 GS shortly to be fitted with adventure bars to prevent
holes in the big tank. Apparently they do fit but your eally need an adveture bash plate which requires a small bit cut out of the rear.
When will someone sell me some Adventure bars or parts?
